We've all seen the latest [Firefox exploit](http://www.info-svc.com/news/11-21-2006/) that allows a criminal to steal your user id and password without your knowledge. There is even a handy [proof-of-concept](http://www.info-svc.com/news/11-21-2006/rcsr1/) to show you how easy it is to have your password taken.
If you use Safari and its AutoFill feature, you will find that Safari does not fill the hidden login form. This is because Safari is smarter and doesn't automatically fill forms that are hidden.
You might be tempted to feel safe when using Safari, but you would be making a grave error.
Try this Safari AutoFill scam and see for yourself.

[The Apple Orchard](http://www.in-my-opinion.net/apple_orchard/) had some wonderful [comments about 1Passwd](http://www.in-my-opinion.net/apple_orchard/archives/2006/11/independent_software_developer_1.php) today. I included my favorite snips below, but I recommend you read the full article and subscribe to the RSS feed too — it has become one of my A-list feeds b/c there aren't that many articles and each one is well thought out.
Anyway, here's my favorite part (emphasis mine):
1Passwd does away with all that hassle. When filling out a new web form, to generate a strong password, just pull down the appropriate menu in the web browser, click "generate password" and it is automatically generated, inserted into the form, and saved in both 1Passwd and Keychain Access. Simple! Efficient! I like simple and efficient. It gets my money.

Hello, my name is Dave, and I am a disk space addict.
What? You are too? It seems everyone nowadays is a file-kleptomaniac.
No matter how big the hard disk is, I always fill it. As drives get bigger, my urge to get more files only intensifies.
My new MacBook Pro had 74 Gigabytes of disk space when it arrived 3 months ago, and it has been fully consumed already.
For the past month my MBP has been running slower everyday, as the disk filled up an started to thrash. Something had to be done, so yesterday I spent a few hours cleaning the crud; it wasn't easy but I deleted a tonne of stuff, only to find I hadn't gone far enough!
df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Capacity Mounted on
/dev/disk0s2 74G 64G 10G 86% /
My drive was still over 85% packed! The performance didn't improve much at all either; from what I can tell a slowly spinning laptop drive can't exceed 80% utilization w/o hampering performance. Clearly I focused on the wrong folders and needed to go further, but where to look?
